The well-known businessman and former president of Anorthosis, Kikis Konstantinou, passed away today at the age of 84.

Kikis Konstantinou was born on May 18, 1939 in Famagusta and after completing his studies in Greece, he developed business activity from a very early age.

He was for 8 years the president of PASYXE in the 1980s and for 13 years the president of the Association of Famagusta Anorthosis.

At a young age, just before the Turkish invasion, he turned to the development of the Ayia Napa area, establishing the first hotel in the area, the well-known Nissi Beach, on state-owned carpet land together with businessman Pavlos Pavlakis.

In 1976, Nissi Beach was operational and was the first hotel operating in the country after the dark days of the Turkish invasion and bombing but also the illegal occupation of the famous hotel units of Varos and the loss of 80% of its hotel units. country. In fact, until 1975, the bungalows of the hotel housed refugees.
