A delegation of the "parliament" consisting of "MPs" νzdemir Berova of the KEE and Armagan Jνdan of the RTK participated in the extraordinary plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (CSCE), held on 14 and 15 March 2022.
According to the GTP, the website Cyprus Post writes that the meeting discussed the situation in Ukraine and unanimously adopted a resolution containing the expulsion of Russia from membership and a call for an immediate end to the war.
On March 16, Berova and Jandan attended a meeting of the CSCE Committee on Political Affairs and Democracy. The Cyprus issue was also discussed at the meeting in the context of an exhibition that will be prepared for the enclosed area of Varos. The Turkish Cypriot "deputies" took the floor and expressed their views on the issue.
As part of the consultations for the preparation of this report, the Rapporteur of the Exhibition, Italian MP Piero Fassino is expected to visit Cyprus in the coming weeks and to have meetings with the "competent authorities" of the Turkish Cypriots.
Armagan Jiadan also took part in a meeting of the Group of Socialists, Democrats and Greens in the KSSE.
