He added that "the Famagusta issue is not a simple confidence-building measure, but a priority set by the United Nations itself, in Security Council Resolutions 550 and 789.
There is a proposal made by previous Governments, the Christofias Government and the Anastasiadis Government, which came from the Municipality of Famagusta, to start a study for resettlement in the city, under the United Nations, with the opening of the port of Famagusta under its guidance and conditions.
