1975 - Occupation Authorities Divide the City into Two.

■ The 1/2 - Kato Varosi, O Laxis, O Farangas, Agios Loukas, I Nea Smyrni, Neapolis, O Karaolos, To Giorkoui, To Sakaria. They are handed over to the refugees and the settlers.
48 Years Later they destroy the pergolas and the orange groves and their place is taken by Schools, Universities, Hospitals, Shopping Centers, apartment buildings. An Unrecognizable City.

It is looted, destroyed and fenced.

The city remains empty while at the same time there are two Beach Hotels, a Hotel Apt, 3 but buildings and part of the Gold Coast Beach that is used for the holidays of the Military Families.

When the roadblocks opened in 2003, there were 4 beaches.

1. The beach from Constantia to Glossa was from 1975 for Public Use.
2. A small piece on Alasia Beach for the United Nations
3. Part of the Gold Coast Beach for the military.
4. Part of Agios Memnon Beach for the families of police officers and employees within the Enclosed City.

2017 The Beach of Agios Memnon is expanded and becomes accessible to the PCs and the Settlers

In 2019, the pseudo-government decides to open the Enclosed City.

At the same time, the buildings are studied and recorded.

3. Extension of the Gold Coast Beach to approximately the Venus Hotel with 500 cots and umbrellas.
4. Cleaning of the Municipal Garden.
5. Coverage of all names in buildings with Greek descriptions Hellenic High School, Lyceum of Greek Women of Famagusta.
6. Minibus to go to the beaches.
7. Bicycle rental.
8. Parades and concerts on Dimokratias Avenue.
9. 20/7/2021 Erdogan and Tatar announce that they are opening 3.5% of the enclosed City from the Second High School and Church of St. Catherine to October 28th.
