Over time, the opening of Varosi, which is within the "borders" of the pseudo-state and under its rule, will be widened, said Ersin Tatar, speaking on Saturday at the 37th annual regular meeting of the city's chamber of industry, without making reference to the recent developments with the sale of real estate in Varosi to a real estate entrepreneur

According to the GTP, the Turkish press reported yesterday that Mr. Tatar expressed the opinion that what needs to be done now are projects, which will benefit the "two peoples". He cited as an example the proposal he submitted to the EU side through the United Nations in July 2022 to interconnect electricity with cables through Turkey.

"This is a project that could be done within three months. Turkey provided its support on this issue. The President of Turkey has indicated that this cable will be laid. I thank him. This is a project that will be implemented with the sound management of mutual relations and has a high cost as in the water project. Great support is provided to the economy, tourism and the tourism industry," he said.

Mr. Tatar also asked to open a crossing point at Mia Milia, which will facilitate trade, saying that sometimes there are big problems with the existing roadblocks. "The opening of a roadblock at Mia Milia will ensure a large contribution to trade through the regulation of the Green Line.

"Right now there is a great potential in our country. We see the establishment of tourism, new investments and new projects in this important corner of the Eastern Mediterranean," he continued, adding that despite the "embargoes" and "isolation", the pseudo-state is growing and exports reached 1,6, XNUMX billion dollars.

Regarding the Cyprus problem, he reiterated that if there will be an agreement in Cyprus, it will be with the cooperation of two "independent, sovereign and equal states. The Turkish Cypriot people are at least as sovereign and have as many rights as they do."
