President Anastasiadis, according to our information, emphasizes that such actions provoke public sentiment. He points out that such actions by Turkey create problems in the resumption of talks. At the same time, he notes the fact that the actions and statements of the Turkish officials about Famagusta add to the Turkish challenges in the Exclusive Economic Zone of the Republic of Cyprus.

Continuing, President Anastasiadis submits to the UN Secretary General his proposal for the establishment of a joint committee of Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots for Famagusta. The PTD asks Antonio Guterres to mediate so that there is a response from the Turkish Cypriot side and it becomes possible to set up the joint commission.

President Anastasiadis, in addition to the UN Secretary General, has sent letters to the Presidents of France, the United States, China and Russia, as well as the Prime Minister of Britain. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikos Christodoulidis, also addressed the "5" of the Security Council. Both the President and the Foreign Minister briefed the leadership and Cyprus' partners in the European Union.
