With its eyes on Vassilevousa and in the midst of challenges in Varosia, the Municipality of Famagusta is preparing again this year for the annual Anti-Occupation Event that will take place next Thursday, August 13, 2020 at 08.00 pm. in the open space of the Cultural Center of the Municipality of Famagusta in Akritiki Deryneia.
With the title "Without the Sun… injects" and 46 years away from Famagusta, the Municipality invites the people of Famagusta and not only, to give their presence en masse to unite their voices against the methods of Turkey for Famagusta and for continuation of efforts for a solution of the Cyprus problem, which will end the occupation and reunite the place and the people.
The keynote speaker will be the President of the Republic, Nikos Anastasiadis.
For the transition of citizens:
Due to the pandemic and the protection measures taken by the state through the competent Ministry of Health, a bus will be provided only if there is an adequate response from the public. However, due to the measures, those who will go must definitely wear their personal PROTECTIVE MASK inside the bus.
The bus will start from the Offices of the Municipality of Famagusta from Limassol, at 06.00 pm.
