On Saturday, 06/07/2024, the twinning ceremony of the Medical Association of Famagusta "Galinos" with the Medical Association of Heraklion took place.
In a statement, the Municipality of Famagusta states that the Medical Association of Famagusta, like all the organizations of the people of Famagusta, keep our city alive and through them continue to create and keep the hope of return.
Those present at the twinning ceremony were particularly moved by the testimony of anesthesiologist Dr. Avras Knai, about how members of the Association and the hospital staff continued their work in the middle of the war until the last moment of leaving the city.
In the announcement it is noted that the twinning ceremony of the two clubs makes us optimistic that there are more people who share this vision of peace and regeneration for our city.
