British parkour team STORROR with 8,2 million YouTube followers entered the walled city of Famagusta and demonstrated their sport. In the video titled "Parkour in a snake-infested war zone" they claim to have entered the area with the permission of the "security authorities" (?) while also giving a short account of how the area was left in this state after the Turkish invasion of 1974. The images of the destroyed-abandoned houses and hotels and the city at the mercy of rodents and reptiles are heartbreaking.
