The Agreement between the Municipality of Ayia Napa and the Architectural Office "Architects Engineers Ioakeim - Loizas Ltd." was signed on September 18, 2026, for the provision of design and supervision services for the restoration and upgrade project of the listed building "Octagrade School" in the Municipal District of Liopetri.
The project envisages the creation of a Folk Heritage Museum and Cultural Center, with the aim of preserving and highlighting the historical and cultural heritage of Liopetri and creating a modern cultural core for the local community.
The agreement, for a total fee of €72.800 plus VAT, was signed on behalf of the Municipality by the Mayor of Ayia Napa, Mr. Christos Zannetou, and on behalf of the Contractor by Ms. Katerina Loiza. Also present as witnesses on behalf of the Municipality was the Deputy Mayor of the Municipal District of Liopetri, Mr. Markos Koumis.
The study will be implemented by an interdisciplinary team of architects and engineers, marking a significant step towards the restoration of an important historical building and its reinstatement into the contemporary cultural life of Liopetri.
