An unspeakable tragedy occurred on the afternoon of Sunday, 28/6/2026, in an area of the Xylofagou community, as two children, aged 8 and 10, were found dead in a car.
According to initial information, the two children were found inside a car. Members of the British Bases Police and an ambulance rushed to the scene and took them to a hospital in the Famagusta district. There, the doctors on duty pronounced them dead.
The Base Police are investigating the circumstances under which the children were left alone in the car, as well as the time that passed until they were located.
