He expressed his strong reaction in today's announcement Municipality of Paralimni for the eventuality transfer of debt height almost 10 million euros of Municipality of Ayia Napa at Famagusta Provincial Organization of Self-Government. As stated in a relevant announcement published today, "with the changes made to the Law on Municipalities on April 3, a critical ambiguity was created regarding the transfer or not of the Municipalities' debts to the EOA. At a session of the Temporary Coordinating Council on 29/4/2024, the Mayor of Ayia Napa demanded that the debt of the Municipality of Ayia Napa to the Water Development Department amounting to 10 million be transferred to the Provincial Organization.
The Municipality of Paralimni calls through the announcement "the Ministry of the Interior, the Parliament and especially the MPs of Famagusta to be fair and not to pass changes that will complete the transfer of the debts to the EOA. Not to burden the households of Sotiras, Liopetriou, Frenaros, Avgoros, Achna, Acherito, Paralimni and Deryneia with the debt of Agia Napa."

Not to burden the households of Sotiras, Liopetriou, Frenaros, Avgoros, Achna, Acherito, Paralimni and Deryneia with the debt of Agia Napa. We call on the TAU to examine the requests of the Communities regarding the amount of losses incurred during the construction of the Sewer and to arrive at the final amount they owe.
THE DEBTS SHOULD REMAIN IN THE MUNICIPALITIES AND EVERYONE SHOULD MANAGE THEM ACCORDING TO THEIR OWN DETAILS
