The slogan for the start of the most beautiful celebration of the year will be given on Sunday, November 24, 2024 by the Municipal District of Avgorou and invites everyone to attend the event of lighting the Christmas tree and decorations that will take place in the Community Park at 20:15.
The festive programme, which will start at 4.00pm and run until 9.00pm, will include free children's activities such as a Master Chef competition, Christmas crafts, a sleigh ride with the Christmas Queen and Rudolph the Inflatable Snowman, educational and entertainment games, gifts for children, Christmas music and Songs from the choirs of the Catechetical Synagogues of the Church of the Apostles Peter and Paul, the Community Choir of Avgorou and the Conservatory of Classical and Contemporary Studies Florentia Savva, a musical program with Neophytos and Andrea Charalambous, George Nikolaou and Georgia Paraschou, dances from the Private Kindergartens "The Friends" and "Paramythoupoli", the Dance Schools "Creative Dance School by Panayiota", "Anna's Dance Hall", Dance School "Georgia", "Avkoritissa Foni" and T.O.I Avgorou.
After the lighting of the Christmas tree and decorations at 20:15 p.m., there will be a popular revelry with Kostas Florentzou, Iotas Christou and Skevis Andreou under the artistic direction of Nikola Patsikas.
The venue will sell Christmas crafts, savory/sweet treats, stall items, cold and hot drinks and spirits.
