A vehicle was set on fire last night in Avgorou.
Specifically, on 29/01/2025 at 23:10, a fire broke out in a car on a rural road in the Agioi Anargyroi area of Avgorou.
The fire was extinguished by the Famagusta Fire Department, while the car was completely destroyed.
According to the Police, the vehicle belongs to a 26-year-old resident of Avgorou. According to the owner, the car was previously parked in an open area outside his home in Avgorou.
According to a recent update from the Police, the car was inspected by the Fire and Electromechanical Service and it was ultimately determined that the fire in the vehicle was not caused by malicious action.
The case is currently under investigation in connection with the theft of the car.
