Authorities were put on alert after a charred body was discovered on Saturday morning on a dirt road in the Avgorou area.
According to the Police, at around 10:00, information was received about a burning vehicle and members of the Famagusta Police Department, as well as the Fire Department, rushed to the scene, which proceeded to extinguish the fire.
During the examinations at the scene, the charred body was identified, which, according to information, was outside the vehicle.
A forensic doctor is expected to arrive at the scene to conduct the necessary examinations.
According to information from the Police, at this stage, all possibilities remain open.
