According to an announcement issued by the Police, an 18-year-old man from Avgorou, without a driver's license, found a parked vehicle outside a house in Avgorou and after realizing that the keys were abandoned on it, he entered it and drove away.
Specifically today and around 10:00 it was reported to the Xylofagos Police Station from a 63-year-old from Avgorou that shortly before and while he had visited his friend's house in Avgorou, he noticed a young person of a specific description and costume entering his car, which during the disputed For a while he was parked and unlocked with the keys on the steering wheel starter outside the house of his friend who went to visit and in his attempt to stop him the young man developed speed driving his car in an unknown direction.
The biggest concern at the age of 63 was the fact that he had the amount of 4500 euros in the locker of his car.
The 63-year-old vehicle was immediately registered as a wanted vehicle while members of the Xylofagos police station began examinations and evaluation of information based on the description of the suspect.
The examinations carried out revealed that the person who took the car of the 63-year-old was 18 years old from Avgorou, known to the police authorities for his misbehavior.
His details were immediately placed in the list of wanted persons.
On the same day and at 1230, the 63-year-old car was found to be moving by members of the British bases of Dhekelia near Dasaki Achnas and after it was stopped, it was confirmed that it had been driven by the 18-year-old.
The Xylofagou police station was immediately informed, to which both the car and the 18-year-old were handed over for further examinations.
Interrogated, the 18-year-old admitted that he took the 63-year-old car to drive it and would leave it on the road. As for the amount of 4500, it was found entirely in the closet.
The 18-year-old is being investigated for driving offenses without a driver's license, without security against a third party and without the consent of the owner.
