On the occasion of the Holy Days of Easter and within the framework of its social policy, the Municipality of Ayia Napa, through the Deputy Mayor of the Municipal District of Avgorou, Mr. Panayis Michaelas, recently delivered vouchers worth a total of €2.500 to the Priests and the Christian Association of the Holy Church of the Apostles Peter and Paul in Avgorou.
The coupons are intended to support needy families in the Municipal District of Avgorou, enabling them to purchase basic food items or clothing in preparation for the holidays.
This action is practical proof of the sensitivity and people-centered approach of the Municipality of Ayia Napa towards the needs of the local community and especially our most vulnerable residents.
The Deputy Mayor of the Municipal District of Avgorou, Mr. Panagis Michaelas, during the delivery of the vouchers, noted that "Easter is a celebration of love and giving and as the Municipality of Ayia Napa, we must stand by those in real need, especially during these holy days. We warmly thank the Church for its continuous cooperation and its substantial contribution to the support of our fellow human beings."
For their part, the Priests of the Church expressed warm thanks for the donation, emphasizing the importance of such initiatives that strengthen the social work of the Church and substantially relieve vulnerable families.
