The Dance Evening recently organized by the Nationalist Associations THI "Agios Georgios" of Avgorou, a historic Association founded by the hero of EOKA Andreas Karyos and his fellow activists, was crowned with great success.
The ball was attended by the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Nikos Christodoulides, the Deputy Minister of Immigration and International Protection, Mr. Nikolas Ioannidis, the Mayor of Ayia Napa, Mr. Christos Zannetou, members of parliament from the Famagusta District and the Deputy Mayor of Avgorou, Mr. Panayis Michaelas.
In his greeting, Mr. Zannetou mentioned that through its multiple actions, the "Saint George" Avgorou Athletic Club actively supports sports, football, culture, history and our tradition.
He expressed his warm congratulations to all the contributors, to the president Mr. Panikos Karyos and to the members of the Association's Council, to the volunteers, friends and cultural groups of the Association for their tireless efforts to create and support the local community.
"The impeccable organization and the warm atmosphere," he noted, contributed to the great success of the evening and thanked everyone for their presence and for their contribution to the successful outcome of this special event."
The Dance Evening was held under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Nikos Christodoulides.
