The Abbess of the Monastery of Saint Kendeas in Avgorou, Gerontissa Chrysostomi, is appealing to the faithful and all citizens, asking for support for the work that the monastery needs.
In detail, the announcement
The Abbess of the historic Monastery of Agios Kendeas in Avgorou, Gerontissa Chrysostomi, addresses every person of good will and notes with love for all:
''Good morning everyone!
May Saint Kendeas protect you!
I am writing to inform you that as most of you know, our monastery is old and needs a radical renovation. But until then, God has... The Feast of our Saint is approaching and the monastery needs painting. The cost is too great for our means... We are looking for volunteers to help with the painting. We need many hands and good coordination to make it happen.
If you can and know anyone who can help, we would be grateful.
If anyone is interested in helping, please contact 99115646.
We also ask that if anyone has the financial means to participate in the purchase of the paint (more than 30 20-kilo drums will be needed)
Thank you!
May the Holy One repay your love a hundredfold!''
