The atmosphere prevailing at the Kokkinohoria Fotis Pitta High School, where the Music High School where the unfortunate 23-year-old Kyprianos Papaioannou attended is also housed, is heavy, after the news of the identification of his body using the DNA method. 

In his statements, the director of the school, Adamos Sergiou, said that there was a faint hope that Kyprianos would be alive and would leave the list of the missing. Our hopes, he noted, were denied yesterday when, with the DNA method, his identity was verified.

"A gathering was held in the morning and a minute's silence was observed in memory of Kyprianos and all the victims of the tragedy that happened in Tempi. Our flags are at half mast like in all schools in Cyprus. The students plan in the second break a formation and they will write our angel. Candles have been lit in the place that is the director's office of the music high school because Kyprianos, in addition to attending the morning school, also continued in the afternoon at the Music High School."

He was an excellent student in performance ethics. He was very good at Byzantine music for this reason and was a cantor in his community in Avgorou. A student who always excelled and represented the school in all events. Our sorrow for his loss is very great. Condolences to his family, to his father, Father Christodoulos who is also our colleague, to his mother, to his siblings. I should mention that his brother, who has been absent from school since yesterday, also attends the students of the third high school this year. He certainly had dreams, he continued to study law in Thessaloniki, he built his life, he was engaged. If I'm not mistaken, he was planning his wedding in the summer," he said.
