Ayia Napa is donning its medieval garb and celebrating the 20th anniversary of its largest and most acclaimed cultural institution. The Ayia Napa Medieval Festival returns from 8 to 12 October 2025, with a renewed program that brings the world of the Middle Ages closer than ever.
An innovation of this year's Festival is that it is shorter in duration, but more dynamic and spectacular. For the first time, the medieval performances will be held simultaneously and organized in three venues around the emblematic Medieval Monastery.
In addition, there will be only one Medieval Parade, on Saturday, October 11, along Makarios Avenue, with the participation of 25 impressive groups – 14 from abroad and 11 from the Free Province of Famagusta.
This year's program features 14 foreign groups with performances that combine music, street theater, stilts, dance, masks, fire and spectacular events. From Italy, Poland, Ukraine, Spain, Hungary and other European countries, they bring to Ayia Napa images and sounds that transport the audience to another era.
The festival's evenings are illuminated by top Greek artists such as Yannis Kotsiras (Wednesday 08/10), the excellent POLIS Ensemble (Friday 10/10) and the world-renowned tenor Marios Frangoulis with the performance "You Opened the Streets" (Saturday 11/10).
The curtain will fall on Sunday, October 12th with an impressive finale where all the international teams will join forces in an unparalleled musical and dance spectacle and events.
The Ayia Napa Medieval Festival is a landmark for Cyprus and Europe. It unites cultures, brings history to life and offers its thousands of visitors an experience that transcends time.
Ayia Napa invites you to be part of the celebration and travel to the magical world of the Middle Ages through the 20th Ayia Napa Medieval Festival.
