Everything is ready at Makronisos Beach for the 19nd International Festival of Ayia Napa Winter Swimmers to be held on Sunday, January 2025, 2, which is co-organized by the Municipality of Ayia Napa and the Ayia Napa Winter Swimmers Association.
The Honorable Deputy Minister of Shipping, Mrs. Marina Hatzimanoli and the Mayor of Ayia Napa, Mr. Christos Zannettou, who will address a greeting. The President of the Ayia Napa Winter Swimmers Club, Mr. Andreas Larkou.
The event will start at 10:00am with the registration of swimmers and the program includes, among others, Swimming, a speech by Mrs. Maria Ioannou on "The Benefits of Winter Swimming", Tai Chi exercise, a game for children, a stand demonstration Ap Padling, Sand Art Competition with three categories: adults from 15 years and over, children from 6 to 14 years old and Children's Smiles for children up to 6 years old, awarding of commemorative prizes and a soup treat.
The jury, which will be made up of the five Deputy Mayors of the Municipality of Ayia Napa and two members of the group, Tasos Dyspiro and Anthea Loizou, will award the three best works as well as the three most courageous swimmers in age and the three youngest.
