AGIA NAPA: Construction of a new four-star hotel

The approval of the Department of Environment was received by the application of the company Sotiris and Panagiotis Christatsos Ltd for the construction of a four-star hotel with a capacity of 222 beds in Ayia Napa.

The hotel will be built at Sklavos - Gialoudi, about 150 meters northeast of the Ayia Napa fishing shelter and 1km from the center of the residential core.

The project is located in pieces, which are coastal, occupy an area of ​​9.223 sq.m. and fall into a tourist zone with three floors allowed.

The total area of ​​the plot to be utilized is estimated at approximately 7.555 sq.m.

111 rooms on three floors

According to the Environmental Authority, the proposed project will consist of a basement, ground floor and three floors and will include 111 rooms, swimming pool, outdoor hot tub, wellness center. as well as 69 underground and ground floor parking spaces (of which 6 for the disabled).

It is clarified that within the plots under study there is a restaurant and a beach bar which will be demolished. However, there is an existing snack bar outside the beach protection zone, which will remain and be part of the development.

The development area of ​​the hotel is located within the area of ​​Kokkinochoria. It is about 1,5 km from the Protected Area of ​​the Natura 2000 Network, which has been designated as a Special Protection Zone and a Place of Community Importance under the name "Cape Greco". The nearest bathing water area is the "Pantachou" area at a distance of 10 meters from the plots under study.
