Yesterday, the Police proceeded with the arrest of a 31-year-old man, in order to facilitate investigations regarding an investigated case of burglary and theft, illegal possession of property and burglary tools and illegal possession of drugs.
Specifically, around 1 p.m. yesterday, the Police received information about a possible break-in at a warehouse in Ayia Napa. Members of the Police immediately went to the scene, where they found the 31-year-old man outside the warehouse, who was in possession of two bags.
A subsequent search revealed various burglary tools, a refrigerator compressor and other electrical components inside the bags. A small amount of drugs was also found in the 31-year-old's possession. As a result, the 31-year-old was arrested for spontaneous offenses and taken into custody to facilitate investigations.
According to the warehouse owner, his warehouse was broken into between 28 and 30 December 2024 and the perpetrators allegedly stole two refrigerator compressors, three air conditioner units and other electrical components.
