The 7th Seferis Symposium, organized by the Municipality of Ayia Napa, in collaboration with the Department of Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies and the Petrondas Modern Greek Studies Center of the University of Cyprus, begins on Friday, November 7 and will conclude on Sunday, November 9, at the Ayia Napa Cultural Center "George Seferis". It is part of the established "Seferis Days" institution.
The Symposium is an important institution dedicated to the work and intellectual legacy of Nobel Prize-winning poet George Seferis. Its aim is to highlight his work through scientific announcements, presentations, readings and artistic events that illuminate the poet's relationship with literature, art and modern Greek culture.
With the participation of distinguished academics, researchers, poets and creators, from the Cypriot and Greek regions and from countries abroad, the Symposium aspires to be a place for fruitful dialogue and exchange of ideas about poetry, language and the identity of Hellenism.
