Impressive colorful mosaic-outdoor bench adorns the coastal pedestrian street of the Municipality of Ayia Napa
Today, together with the President of the Ayia Napa Youth Council, Municipal Councilor Mr. Konstantinos Zannetto, I received from the artist Mrs. Christina Mina, the impressive colorful handmade mosaic work, which will adorn the promenade of the Municipality.
The work depicts a small coast with shells where on one side the artist used broken ceramics, modern style, intricately combined with colors, textures and shapes that match the colors of the area and on the other side pebbles, shells and granite of various colors.
Ms. Mina has also created with the same materials and with bright colors the bins that are inside the playground, on the coastal sidewalk, which depict various designs inspired by marine life such as dolphins, seahorses, octopuses, etc.
I thanked the artist for her impressive creation, which has given the concrete bench elegance and color as well as the President of the Ayia Napa Youth Council Mr. Constantino Zannetto for the proposal submitted to the Municipal Council to include the work in the participatory budget. , which as it is widely known was first implemented by the Municipality of Ayia Napa in order to give the right to citizens and organized groups to submit their proposals by participating in the way in the project selection process.
"I am sure that this project will contribute significantly to the aesthetic upgrade of the coastal sidewalk of our Municipality and will be warmly embraced by both citizens and our visitors."
