Ayia Napa: Two arrests for selling laughing gas in kiosks

The Police made two arrests yesterday, after an equal number of searches in premises in the province of Famagusta, in relation to cases of the sale of laughter gas.

The first investigation was carried out, according to the Police, in a property with a responsible 31-year-old resident of the province of Famagusta. During the search, 838 unused ampoules, 345 balloons, 427 used ampoules, three canisters and the amount of € 184,50 were found and confiscated. The 31-year-old was arrested for a self-inflicted crime and was detained to facilitate interrogations.

At the same time, members of the Police, conducted a search in a kiosk, owned by a 34-year-old. A canister, 199 unused ampoules, 200 balloons and the amount of € 103,95 were found and confiscated as evidence. The 34-year-old was arrested for a self-inflicted crime and was taken into custody, to facilitate the investigations.

The Ayia Napa Police Station is investigating the two cases.
