Police actions in the tourist area of Ayia Napa between the dates 26/5/23-29/5/23. In the context of the implementation of an action plan by the Famagusta Police Department in the tourist areas of Protaras and Agia Napa, with the aim of more effectively preventing and fighting crime and strengthening the sense of security and protection of citizens, coordinated operations were carried out with the participation of members of the police stations of Paralimni, Agia Napa but also members of OPE, TAE, Famagusta Traffic, Y.KA.N Famagusta, Y.A&M Famagusta as well as members of M.M.A.D.
In the context of police checks to combat illegal employment and employment as well as illegal stay, members of the Police proceeded to a total of 4 arrests of third-country nationals who were found to be residing illegally on the territory of the Republic, while a foreign applicant for political asylum was also arrested who were working without the relevant permit. His Greek Cypriot employer was accused in writing to be called before a Court later.
