On May 24, 2024 at 18:15 p.m., the Larnaca Police Department received information about an injured person in danger in the marine area near Ammos tou Kambouris beach.
The person in question was on a rock at a distance from the shore, which, due to adverse weather conditions, was not possible to approach by sea.
The KSED proceeded to implement the National Plan "NEARCHOS" by mobilizing a helicopter of the Police Aviation Operations Unit which, after collecting the person at risk, transported him to the General Hospital of Famagusta for treatment.
