According to the police 30 minutes after midnight today, members of the NEA during their patrol in Ayia Napa spotted outside a discotheque, a British couple tourists 19 years old, carrying a cylindrical container in which it placed ampoules and then sold to tourists balloons with laughing gas.
During an investigation carried out by the Police, 4 unused ampoules, 3 used ampoules and 3 empty balloons were found, which were received as evidence.
At the time of the arrest, the young man hit one of the police officers in the hand, then on the head, and after snatching the found items, he fled.
The 19-year-old was stopped by the Police at a distance of about ten meters from the scene, he was arrested and transferred to the Ayia Napa Police Station.
The British tourist is facing offenses involving, among other things, assault on a police officer and resistance to legal arrest, while later today he is expected to be charged in writing and released.
The Agia Napa Police Station is investigating the case.
