The Municipality of Ayia Napa presents the new three-day cultural institution "Ayia Napa of Tastes", a comprehensive event dedicated to gastronomy, local production, cultural heritage and the living traditions of our place.
Ayia Napa, Sotira, Liopetri, Avgorou and Achna come together in a common celebration, highlighting the new, unified identity of the enlarged Municipality of Ayia Napa.
Friday, August 21 – City Day
Presentation of the history, identity and modern development of the Municipality, free tastings and the music and dance program "Singing Traditionally" with Vasiliki Hatziadamou. A special moment of the evening will be the traditional Cypriot "Dance of the Glasses" by Dinos Kkandis.
Saturday, August 22 – Gastronomy Festival
Tastes and traditional products from each Municipal District, live cooking demonstrations and the presentation “5 Communities, One Taste” by The Fella Twins. The evening will conclude with the music and dance program “Songs of the Table and the Celebration”, with Petros and Michalis Kouloumis and the participation of more than 60 dancers.
Sunday, August 23 – Traditional Festival
Live workshops of traditional arts and crafts, children's games and a live cooking presentation of the recipe "Ayia Napa of Flavors" by the famous Cypriot chef Christos Christodoulou. The event will culminate with the great music and dance program "My Pelagic Heart", with Kouli Theodorou, Frederiki Tombazou, Dimitris Mesimeri and Katerina Paraschou.
Cultural and dance groups from the Municipal Districts of the Municipality of Ayia Napa and the wider region participate in the program.
