Leading scientists and doctors take part in the 1st Medical Conference of the "Scent of Ayia Napa" Association Friends of Sculpture Park which will take place on Saturday 26/10/2024 at the "Giorgos Seferi" Cultural Center in Ayia Napa.
Four distinguished medical scientists, Dr. Nikolaos Zampoglou, Dr. Emmanuel Georgiannakis, Dr. Panagiotis Kyzas and Dr. Nikolaos Spernovasilis are the presenters of the 1st Medical Conference of the "Scent of Ayia Napa" Association Friends of Sculpture Park and the first Medical Conference, which is organized in Agia Napa Napa and in the Free Province of Famagusta.
Dr. Nikolaos Zampoglou, Founder and Medical Director of the German Oncology Center, Professor of Radiation Oncology will speak on "New Perspectives in Oncology", while the Director of Thoracic Surgery and Department of Robotic Thoracic Surgery of the Metropolitan Hospital and Metropolitan General Proctor & Chief Trainer of Robotic Thoracic Surgery, Sector of Southeast Europe Dr. Emmanuel Georgiannakis the topic "Lung Cancer - Modern surgical techniques". Dr. Panagiotis Kyzas, Director of the Head and Neck Oncology Department
German Oncology Center Consultant OMFS H&N Surgeon will develop the topic "State-of-the-art surgical management of H & N cancer: Pushing the boundaries and the head of the Infectious Department of the German Oncological Institute, Pathologist, Infectious Dr Nikolaos Spernovasilis, who will speak on "Artificial Intelligence in Medicine Opportunities and Challenges.
The conference starts at 09:00 am. and its first part includes greetings from the Citizen's Commissioner Mr. Panagiotis Palates, the Mayor of Ayia Napa Mr. Christos Zannettos, the President of the Association "Aroma Agia Napa" Friends of Sculpture Park Mr. Christakis Pittas and the President of the Pan-Cyprus Medical Association (PIS) Dr. Petro Agathangelou.
The Professor of History at the University of Neapolis Paphos and former Ambassador of Cyprus in Athens, Mr. Giorgos Giorgi, will make his own intervention on the subject of "Cancer in Antiquity" - Its Treatment by Kikis Konstantinou.
The Conference is under the auspices of the SA of the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Nikos Christodoulidis, and is dedicated to the memory of the founder and Honorary President of the Association "Aroma Agia Napa" - Friends of the Sculpture Park, the late Kikis Constantinou.
