The alert in Ayia Napa has ended. The information about the existence of an explosive device in a busy building ultimately turned out to be a hoax.
According to the authorities, from the investigation carried out at the site, after its evacuation, nothing was found and the Police released the site to reopen.
After receiving the information, in addition to members of the Police, pyrotechnicians had also arrived at the premises, ready to intervene to neutralize the device.
This is a building in which a grenade was found a few weeks ago.
