A new illegal entry of immigrants from Syria occurred on Monday afternoon in Ayia Napa.
Specifically, according to the Police, at around 6:15 in the afternoon on Monday, April 17, 2023, Akatos Police stopped at a distance of 12 nautical miles southeast of Cabo Greco, a wooden boat, approximately 6 meters long, in which 18 illegal immigrants were on board (8 men, 6 women and 6 minors).
The irregular migrants were safely transported to the marina of Ayia Napa and then taken to the Reception Center in Pournara.
The tests carried out resulted in testimony against a 21-year-old man who was allegedly driving the boat and who was arrested on a warrant to facilitate investigations.
