With the awarding of commemorative plaques to the last two sculptors, Phase 9 of the XNUMXth International Symposium of Ayia Napa Sculpture was completed with great success, during which thirteen emblematic works were created by well-known sculptors from abroad.
The plaques were awarded to the Iranian sculptors Bahman Chegeni and Razmjoo Sepideh by the Mayor of Ayia Napa Mr. Christos Zannettos in a modest ceremony held at the International Sculpture Park in the presence of the President of the Organizing Committee of the Symposium Mr. Kikis Constantinou, the President of the "Aroma" Association of Agia Napa - Friends of the Sculpture Park Mrs. Christaki Pitta and the Cultural Officer of the Municipality Ms. Marias Tofini Tsantila.
Mr. Zannettu expressed his heartfelt thanks to the two sculptors for their participation in the symposium and congratulated them for the iconic works they created, assuring at the same time that the Municipality will continue to organize sculpture symposiums to further enrich the Park with sculptures and at the same time additional infrastructures are being made, which will be facilities but at the same time they will be infrastructures that will be enjoyed by everyone browsing the Park.
He also expressed his warm thanks to the initiator of the Sculpture Park and President of the International Sculpture Symposium Mr. Kikis Konstantinou for his guidance, ideas and for his intense activity, the President of the "΄Aroma" Association of Ayia Napa - Friends of the Sculpture Park Mr. Christaki Pitta for his support and the Cultural Officer of the Municipality Ms. Maria Tofini Tsantila for her tireless efforts for the successful outcome of the symposiums.
Sculptor Bahman Chegeni created the works "BROKEN HORN", "CANNED FOOD" and "METAMORPHOSIS" while sculptor Razmjoo Sepideh created the works "ABOUT HER" and "SLOW AND LEGETO".
