The six arrested for illegal property case seem to have a preference for iPhones Were "caught" on the spot late last night by the Police in the apartment they lived in Ayia Napa.
As can be seen from the photos, the six foreigners from Pakistan, had a preference for smartphones and more specifically for iPhones since a large number of the 27 stolen mobile devices found in their possession were models of the American company.
It is recalled that Six foreigners from Pakistan were arrested in Ayia Napa as suspects in a case of illegal possession of property, after 27 mobile phones were found in their possession.
According to the Police, between 22.15 - 23.50 last night, members of the Ayia Napa Police Station searched after information and with written consent, an apartment located in Ayia Napa and in which six people from Pakistan, aged between 25 and 37, lived.
A total of 27 mobile phones were found in the apartment, for which the foreigners did not give satisfactory explanations for the legality of their possession and were arrested for the self-inflicted crime of illegal possession of property.
Further examinations carried out by members of the Famagusta Police Department and the Ayia Napa Police Station revealed that four of the mobile phones were reported during the years 2017 - 2019 that they were lost by their owners.
Later today, the six detainees are expected to appear before the Famagusta District Court for the issuance of a detention order.
The case is being investigated by the Famagusta Police Department and the Ayia Napa Police Station.
