A fire broke out at 12.10 today in the Aetopetra area of the Municipality of Ayia Napa.
According to an announcement by the Forest Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment, the fire was brought under full control at 13:15, after burning four dozen bushes and other low wild vegetation.
To extinguish the fire, 6 people from the Forest Department worked with 2 fire trucks and 5 people from the Fire Service with 2 fire trucks as well as volunteers.
The causes of the fire are being investigated.
