A three-month prison sentence was imposed today by the District Court of Famagusta, on a 31-year-old man, a citizen of a third country, following a trial of a case of illegal employment and illegal stay in the Republic.

The 31-year-old was spotted by members of the Police on July 12, in the area of ​​Ayia Napa, working on behalf of a real estate, specifically on behalf of a beer bar in Ayia Napa, trying to attract customers to the beer bar. As it was established, he was working illegally, without permission from the competent Authority. It was also established that he was residing illegally in the Republic, as a result of which the members of the Police proceeded to arrest him.

The next day, the 31-year-old was brought before the District Court of Famagusta to hear the case of illegal employment and illegal stay in the Republic.

A case of illegal employment is being investigated against the 31-year-old's employer, with the Ayia Napa Police Station continuing the investigation.

A case of illegal employment and illegal employment with three other suspects also emerged during last night's inspection by members of the Police, in an area also in Ayia Napa.

Specifically, shortly before midnight on Monday, members of the Famagusta Police Department spotted two men, aged 26, approaching tourists and trying to sell them tickets to enter a nightclub located in Ayia Napa.

From an inspection it was established that the two 26-year-old third-country nationals, who reside legally in the Republic, were working illegally, without permission from the competent Authority. They were taken to the local Police Station of Ayia Napa for the purposes of police examinations. After being interrogated and charged in writing, they were released to be summoned before a Court to hear the case of illegal employment.

The employer of the two 26-year-olds, a 50-year-old man, was also called to the Ayia Napa Police Station. After being interrogated and accused in writing, he was also released, to be summoned before a Court to hear the case of illegal employment.

The Agia Napa Police Station continues the examinations.
