A serious traffic accident occurred around one thirty in the morning in Ayia Napa.
According to the Police, a 21-year-old motorcycle driver who was driving on Makariou Street, under circumstances that are being investigated, lost control of his two-wheeler, causing it to overturn and injure the young man.
An ambulance rushed to the scene and took him to the General Hospital of Famagusta where the doctors on duty determined that he had suffered a contusion of lungs, liver bleeding and spinal cord injury.
Due to the seriousness of his condition, he was transferred to Nicosia General Hospital and is being held for hospitalization.
