The audience was moved by the performance "The Wall will fall" presented as part of an anti-occupation event by the Municipality of Ayia Napa in collaboration with the Cultural Folklore Club Dasous Achnas.

Feelings of pain and deep emotion were felt by all those who watched the dance drama "The Wall Will Fall", which was presented on the evening of Sunday 14 July in the Central Square, by the Municipality of Ayia Napa, as part of an anti-occupation event organized in collaboration with the Cultural Folklore Club Dasous Achnas on the occasion of the completion of 50 years since the black anniversaries of the coup and the Turkish invasion in July 1974.

The event was honored with their presence by the Deputy Mayors of the apartments of the Municipality of Agia Napa, Sotiras and Agia Napa Mr. Antonis Koumis and Antonis Christou and the Member of the Municipal Council of the Avgorou apartment Mr. Sergis Sergis.

In his short greeting, the Deputy Mayor of the Agia Napa District, Mr. Antonis Christou, stated that it is the duty of the Municipality to support anti-occupation events that recall historical memory and strengthen our will to continue the struggle for the liberation of our homeland, each from our own means from the Turkish yoke.

In addition to the Cultural Folklore Club of Dasous Achnas, the "To Rodi" Cultural Club of Ormidia, dance ensembles from Greece, Malta, Romania, Poland as well as the Katerini Polyphonic Orchestra - Greece took part in the performance.

Through the power of the art of speech, music, dance and action, the show managed to bring to life before the eyes of the spectators the recent history of Cyprus, the peaceful life between Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots, the tragic events of 1974, the coup d'état and of the invasion, the consequences of the Turkish invasion, the drama of the uprooted, the missing and the dead, but also the hope for reunification and peaceful coexistence of our people in a peaceful Cyprus.

The performance was held under the auspices of the Mayor of Ayia Napa, Mr. Christos Zannettos.
