Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Holy Cross did not dive this year on the beaches, in the churches, depending on their size, only 75 people attended the Divine Liturgy and persons were allowed to be outside the temples, observing the appropriate protection distances.
The official celebration held at the Holy Temple of Panagia Ayia Napa in Ayia Napa, presiding over Metropolitan Constantius - Famagusta Vassilios, was attended by among the 75 people allowed, the Minister of Transport, Communications and Works Giannis Karousos, Z. the Commander of the Naval Administration, Chief Charalambos Charalambous, the Mayor of Ayia Napa, Christos Zannettou, the Police Director of Famagusta, George Oikonomou, the Senior Commander of the Famagusta Guard, Lieutenant Colonel.
Due to the measures to limit the spread of the coronavirus, the water sanctification ceremony took place inside the church.
