A 20-year-old man was arrested yesterday 18/7/24 in the afternoon by investigators of the Famagusta Police Department to facilitate investigations in relation to a case of assault and causing serious bodily harm against a 45-year-old woman.
Specifically on 18/7/24 it was reported to the TAE Famagusta by the 45-year-old woman that on 17/7/24 at around 1700 hours while she was in a hotel pool in Ayia Napa she asked the 20-year-old man who was also in the same area to stop bothering her female guests staying at the hotel.
The 20-year-old reacted and after insulting her, he then attacked her and punched her in the face. The 42-year-old received medical treatment and was diagnosed with a fractured nasal bone.
An arrest warrant was obtained against the 20-year-old for the offense of assault and grievous bodily harm and he was arrested yesterday afternoon. It is expected within the day to secure a warrant for their arrest.
