The successful completion of the new three-day cultural institution "Ayia Napa of Tastes", which took place from 21 to 23 August 2026, highlighted the possibilities created by Local Government reform, when accompanied by a clear strategy, political will and visionary leadership.
The Mayor of Ayia Napa, Mr. Christos Zannetou, stated:
“Agia Napa of Tastes” was created as a collective act of unity and as the practical implementation of our strategy for a cohesive, extroverted and balanced developing Municipality. Ayia Napa, Sotira, Liopetri, Avgorou and Achna maintain their special characteristics and, at the same time, compose a strong common future. Unity is built with respect, cooperation, equal participation and a common vision.”
The new institution highlighted a modern model of municipal governance, in which cultural heritage is organically linked to local production, social cohesion, tourism and sustainable development. At the same time, it confirmed that the enlarged Municipality of Ayia Napa constitutes a single creative community with a strong identity, dynamic presence and international orientation.
“Ayia Napa of Flavors” is tangible proof that leadership that inspires trust, energizes people and turns vision into action can lead a place into a new era of unity and creation. Through this collective effort, the distinct identities of the five Municipal Districts were strengthened and combined into something even greater: a Municipality united, proud of its roots and oriented towards the future.
