The beaches "Limanaki", "Nisi", "Makronisos" and "Agia Thekla" will be "open" for bathers in the winter season after they have been declared by the Ministry of Transport as reserved areas. As reserved areas for bathers in the sea they are declared for the winter season the beaches "Limanaki", "Nisi", "Makronisos" and "Agia Thekla" in accordance with the Decree of article 3 on the protection of bathers at sea, which was issued by the Minister of Transport, Communications and Works etc. Alexis Vafeadis.
According to the decree, the said marine areas will be determined with buoys in the sea as protected areas for bathers. Additionally, the Municipality of Ayia Napa for better service will provide free cots to bathers. Also, lifeguards, who are under the Provincial Administration of Famagusta will man the above beaches.
