At around 05:40, while a 33-year-old man was driving his car in the Kokkines area of Ayia Napa, he was shot by unknown persons. He was not injured in the shooting, but the car was damaged.
Shortly afterwards, a burning car was found in an open area in the Avgoros area. It is being investigated whether this is the one used by the perpetrators.
The Famagusta Police Department is investigating an attempted murder.
