The "Christmas Play Area" event was held with great success on Saturday, January 3, 2026, in Agios Georgios Square, in the Ayia Napa Harbor, attracting a large number of children and families.
The event included a rich program of activities for children, such as creative crafts, games, face painting, inflatables and a photo shoot with Santa Claus, while the magic show was particularly interesting, delighting young and old alike, providing plenty of laughter and impressive images, while the evening was accompanied by live music with Christmas and pop melodies, creating a warm and festive atmosphere.

A Christmas market with sweet and savory delicacies, books and handmade creations was open throughout the event. At the same time, the Municipality of Ayia Napa offered free hot soup, wine and chestnuts, reinforcing the spirit of hospitality and solidarity.
A special place in the event was occupied by the social action "A Gift of Love, a Smile", through which, with the support of the Neighborhood Social Workers, the Band of the Church of Panagia Ayia Napa and the Youth of Ayia Napa, gifts were collected for children in the community who need them, sending a strong message of giving and love.

The Mayor of Ayia Napa, Mr. Christos Zannetou, expressed his satisfaction with the success of the event, emphasizing that "the Christmas Playland is a celebration dedicated to the children and families of Ayia Napa. "The large turnout and the smiles of the children," he added, "confirm that such actions strengthen the cohesion of our local society and cultivate the values of contribution and cooperation."

For his part, the Deputy Mayor of the Ayia Napa Municipal District, Mr. Antonis Christou, stated that the event was a complete success due to the collective effort of everyone. "The active participation of children, parents, volunteers and the bodies of our city proves that when we join forces, we can create beautiful and meaningful moments for our city."

Both the Mayor and the Deputy Mayor also expressed their warm thanks to all the co-organizers and collaborators – the Ayia Napa Public/Community Kindergarten, the Ayia Napa Primary School, the Parents and Guardians Associations, the Catechetic Family of the Church of Panagia Ayia Napa, the Youth of Ayia Napa, the Famagusta Autism Support Association – Smile Project – as well as to all the volunteers who contributed decisively to the success of the event.
