The first Vikos Elite Neon Cup - Ayia Napa edition, the largest international academy tournament ever held in Cyprus, was held with great success at the Ayia Napa Sports Center, on the three-day weekend of March 01-03, 2025, in which 95 teams from 20 countries participated, playing football at the ages of K11-13-15, and which was attended by thousands of visitors.
What is remarkable about this year's event is the fact that it was the largest in terms of international participation at the football academy level, with the Cypriot element being strong in the finals. While the elements that characterized it were the spectacle - passion - goals - thousands of spectators and fair play.
The champion in the U11 category was Anorthosis, who won the grand final with 2-0 against Atletico SC of Lebanon. In the U15 category, APOEL reached the final, having been defeated by MACCABI Petah Tikva, with 2-0, with the Cypriot team having earlier eliminated PAOK in the semi-final on penalties. The 3rd place was taken by Anorthosis, who prevailed on penalties over PAOK in the minor final. In the U13 category final, Liverpool fc and FSHM Moscow played, with the English winning 4-2 in extra time and winning the trophy.

We will continue to support such events that contribute greatly to the extension of the tourist season, which has a positive impact on the operation of tourism businesses.
Due to the absence of Mayor Mr. Christos Zannetou abroad, the cups and medals were awarded to the winners by the Deputy Mayors of the Municipal Districts of the Municipality of Ayia Napa, Sotira and Ayia Napa, Messrs. Antonis Koumis and Antonis Christou.
