With the assumption of the City Hall of the Mayor of Ayia Napa, Mr. Christos Zannettos, one of his goals was to reach a conclusion for the renewal of the collective agreements concerning the staff of the Municipality, which have been pending since 2014.

In a recent meeting (Wednesday, August 18, 2021) with the relevant unions, they discussed at length the various outstanding issues and disputes. The result of the meeting is that the Municipality of Ayia Napa is in the final stretch for the desired result.
After the meeting, Mr. Zannettou stated in his statements that "despite the difficulties of the pandemic and the adverse unforeseen operational difficulties that our Municipality has faced and is facing, with hard work and effort following the various meetings with the unions of SEK and PEO workers we discussed extensively the various issues related to the renewal of the collective agreements of the employees in the Municipality ".

He added that the contract is important for the Local Authority to be functional, to guarantee and ensure the rights of employees, but at the same time to ensure the smooth operation of the Municipality and expects that there will be the desired result for the public and mutual benefit.
