The opening of the exhibition entitled "Iconography and Western Art" will take place on Friday, May 8, 2026, at 18:30 PM, at the "Georgos Seferis" Cultural Center, by the Mayor of Ayia Napa, Mr. Christos Zannetou.
More than 100 icons, signed by the painter Panikkos P. Hatzidakis and other artists and highlighting twelve different schools of iconography and Western Art, will be exhibited in the exhibition space of the "George Seferis" Cultural Center.
The exhibition aims to highlight the dialogue between two great artistic traditions, highlighting the timeless value of religious art and its contemporary interpretation. Through the works, the visitor is invited to explore the coexistence of the sacred and the aesthetic, as well as the dynamic evolution of visual expression.
The exhibition will run from May 8 to June 8, 2026, with free admission for the public. It will be open Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 13:00 and from 18:00 to 21:00, as well as Saturday and Sunday from 18:00 to 21:00.
