The inauguration of the "Boat and Sea Expo" exhibition, an important event that highlights the dynamics of shipping, marine technology and innovation in Cyprus and promotes Ayia Napa as a modern and dynamic maritime tourism destination, was held on Friday, May 8 at the Ayia Napa Marina, by the Minister of Justice and Public Order, Mr. Costas Fitiris, and the Mayor of Ayia Napa, Mr. Christos Zannetou.
In his greeting, the Mayor of Ayia Napa, Mr. Christos Zannetou, stated that the Municipality of Ayia Napa supports initiatives that strengthen the local economy and upgrade the tourism product, through entrepreneurship, innovation and the cooperation of all stakeholders.
He also expressed his warm thanks to the organizers, the company Dacor Advertising and Media Ltd, the CEO Mr. Aristos Aristidou, as well as the Management and owners of Ayia Napa Marina, for their valuable contribution to the successful organization.
Special thanks were extended to Mr. Zacharias Siokouros, CEO of the Cyprus Marine and Maritime Institute (CMMI), for his participation and overall contribution, as well as for the presentation and naming of his unmanned rescue vessel, as well as to all the exhibitors from Cyprus and abroad who honored the exhibition with their presence.
